The eastern seaboard was assailed by snow over the last two months, more than I can honestly remember from the Midwest. C’ville is only used to a few inches of snow, so when +22” comes within months of each other, the town is completely shut-down.  Oh, and guess what? More snow tomorrow. 

Strawberry season in Charlottesville is a crazy time of year.  Almost all the strawberry patches were completely picked over; although that did not stop Addie from indulging herself with mediocre sized berries.  Luckily we have are own strawberry patch (3 berries total,in photo below).   Living in the south we of course have a great porch which is Addie’s favorite place to read books (“1 Fish, 2 Fish” pictured.) She feels very mature as she sits quietly turning the large pages of her book.
